Ms. Wang Yue, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism Development, exchanged ideas with attendees on Future Development of Beijing¡¯s High-end Tourism and the Conference Industry in the New Era, noting that ¡°The mix among industries is an important trend guiding present-day industrial development.¡± she added, ¡°Beijing¡¯s high-end tourism system will unfold in the company of the advancement of China¡¯s modern service sector. And as tourism-related products are increasingly becoming popular consumer goods, upstream tourism products would face a new balance between innovations and supplies. It¡¯s hoped that the integration of Beijing¡¯s high-end tourism could be able to prompt Beijing¡¯s tourism and derivative sectors to develop better and quicker¡±

Liu Shuhua, Deputy Director of Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Exposition said in her address, maintaining that ¡°The meetings industry is an external driving force for a city¡¯s development. Within the meetings industry, a city needs to maintain an accurate knowledge of itself, dig deeply its resources in the fields of economy, industries, ecological and cultural resources, so as to win the bid of nationally and internationally high-end comprehensive political forums, thereby boosting the full integration of conferences and a city¡¯s cultures, development and ecological efforts.¡±
